Katy Perry goes from prom queen to popcorn popstar at Part of Me premiere

Katy Perry didn't disappoint in the fashion stakes at her Part of Me premiere in LA yesterday.

The Katy Perry: Part Of Me premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood saw the super star take centre stage for a gorgeous red carpet and fun performance.

Katy Perry went for all-out old Hollywood glamour in a strapless velvet red dress, which she gave her own quirky twist to with an amazing cake clutch. Love. It.

The 27-year-old singer, who was premiering her new fly-on-the-wall film, wore her hair in a vintage curled hair style and donned red shoes and bright red lipstick.

When it came time to perform, however, Katy Perry wore an even more eye-catching outfit.

Katy Perry burst out of a giant popcorn bag on stage, wearing a film-reel bra and huge popcorn on her red and white striped skirt.

Even her red cats eye sunglasses were decorated with sweeties. Amaze.

Katy Perry whipped off the popcorn skirt later in her performance to reveal high-waisted pants decorated with candy bars. She looked good enough to eat.

Katy Perry tweeted: "My costume for tomorrow's premiere performance is so yolo."

You only live once indeed.

Once she got to Hollywood Boulevard, Katy Perry tweeted a picture of the huge crowds with the caption: "WHAT HAVE I CREATED?!"

She added: "I'm about to POP your corn!"

Katy Perry was joined by Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's prodigy Carly Rae Jepsen at her Part of Me premiere yesterday.

Selena Gomez wore a beaded hot pink fringed mini dress with matching lipstick, while Carly Rae Jepsen donned a royal blue dress and neon yellow shoes.

Justin Bieber was also spotted at the Katy Perry: Part of Me premiere, but he avoided posing for pics on the red carpet, instead hurriedly leading girlfriend Selena Gomez by the hand.
