The 37-year-old looked radiant on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and according to Perry's makeup artist Michael Anthony, it was thanks to a face full of products from affordable beauty brand The Ordinary.
"For this year's Met Gala, I wanted Katy's beauty look to be skin focused," Perry's longtime makeup artist wrote in an Instagram post. "A radiant, even complexion helps put anyone's best self forward, so I am happy to have partnered with The Ordinary for just that!"
Alongside a series of photos, Anthony highlighted three products from The Ordinary that he used on the "American Idol" judge.
"Starting the night before, we prepped the skin with Mandelic Acid 10% + HA from The Ordinary," he wrote. "This extremely gentle exfoliant (that's suitable for all skin types) provides an even glowing complexion."
"The morning of the Gala, I prepped the skin with Buffet," he continued. "This is a multi-technology peptide serum designed to target multiple signs of aging all at once by using 11 skin-friendly amino acids and multiple hyaluronic acid complexes."
Finally, Anthony wrote that he used the brand's Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA on Perry to lock in moisture and keep her skin looking and feeling hydrated.
"To hydrate and protect the outer layer of the skin, using my hands, I gently press in Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA on top of the Buffet serum," he said. "This cream locks in the serums and is comprised of natural elements already found in the outer layer of the skin. This keeps the skin protected and well hydrated throughout the day!!"
The makeup artist's Instagram followers couldn't get enough of the "Roar" singer's "stunning" look.
"Goddess skin routine," praised one commenter.
"Is this the secret to being frozen in time?" asked another.
"Skin legend!" wrote another fan.
"Obsessed! Adding them all to my shopping cart!" a follower wrote.
Ringing in at just $33 for all three The Ordinary products, skincare fanatics will be hard-pressed to find a more affordable Met Gala beauty routine. And with an ageless complexion like Katy's as the final result, why would you spend more?
