Fitness influencer and personal trainer Kayla Itsines has shared a new video on her Instagram page with five ab workouts that can easily be done at home with just a mat, making them perfect if you're currently self-isolating or your city is under a lockdown.
Kayla has focused on five exercises that will work the abs without causing strain in the neck and shoulders, something she says her followers often complain about. "Often this can be fixed by adjusting your form," explains Kayla in her post, "For example, when completing an exercise like a sit-up, try and lead with the middle of your chest rather than throwing your head forward at the start of the movement."
For those who don't want to do sit-ups, Kayla demonstrates five alternative exercises in her video, which she has specifically chosen as they can be done at home.
Choose an exercise to incorporate into your own workout, or follow Kayla's advice and set a timer for ten minutes, repeating each of the movements until the time is up for a mini-abs workout.
