ALOR STAR: Kedah Barisan Nasional is all set to face the 14th General Election which is due to be held the latest by 2018.
Its chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said he was satisfied with the preparation made by Umno and other component parties at all level in the state.
With the goal of retaining seats that were won and wresting back the lost seats, Bashah urged all BN members to contribute to the coalition's win especially by casting their votes during poll day.
He also said that the main focus was to draw supports from younger voters.
"In the previous general election, we received discouraging votes from the younger generation. We suffered losses at many voting channels for young voters.
"As such, all party leaders and members, especially in the Umno Youth, Puteri and component parties have to step up their efforts to win the heart and confidence of voters from this group.
"However, I believe that many have realised how much the government and the party care for the people including the younger generation with numerous programmes." he said in a press conference after chairing the first Kedah BN meet for this year.
