Kelly Ripa Shares Cheeky Photo with Mark Consuelos and Says It’s the ‘Alternate Cover’ for Her ‘Live Wire’ Memoir
Kelly Ripa's new memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, is officially out in stores, and besides her U.S. tour, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host is finding other creative ways to promote her new book.
In a recent post on Instagram, the 51-year-old talk show host shared an “alternate” cover, which featured none other than her husband, Mark Consuelos, 51. And as to be expected, it was quite a cheeky pic.
Ripa shared the photo the day before Live Wire hit shelves, and her caption said, “Alternate cover for my book, Live Wire, but thankfully @instasuelos intervened! LIVE WIRE is available tomorrow wherever books are sold.”
We can see that Ripa is wearing the same outfit she wore for the actual Live Wire cover, which includes a black, striped top and a metallic pink, pleated maxi skirt. However, in this snap, Ripa is holding up the skirt Seven Year Itch-style, and Consuelos is seen laying under her and looking up.
It appears that fellow celebs were big fans of the alternate cover, and they joked about it in the comments. Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines wrote, “I’m printing this out & pasting it on my book!” Meanwhile, talk show host Justin Sylvester commented, “Christmas card?”
While we loved this saucy cover, it's probably for the best that Ripa went with the more standard version. However, Consuelos has been a big part of Ripa's book release process.
A couple weeks back, the couple filmed a video from their bed, where they talked about the memoir and Ripa's book tour. “Scenes from the marital bed, book tour edition!” the Live host wrote. “Grab your friends and I’ll grab mine (@bethennyfrankel @andersoncooper @mrjerryoc @justinasylvester plus @instasuelos [heart emoji]) and I will see you in NJ, NYC, Long Island, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Louisville and virtually later this month! Consuelos was part of Ripa's first stop in Red Bank, NJ, and then he will also join her in Ann Arbor, MI, which is conveniently where their youngest child, Joaquin, goes to school at the University of Michigan.
