KOTA KINABALU: Eight organisations in Sabah today received cash donations worth RM80,000 from Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).
The beneficiaries of KFC's Add Hope Distribution Programmes are Rumah Anak Kesayangan, Rumah Anak Yatim As-Sakinah, Rumah Amal Kasih, Rumah Putera Harapan, The Hospice Association of Sandakan, Holy Family Residents for Senior Citizens, Rumah Kanak-kanak Don Bosco, and Persatuan untuk Orang Pekak Tawau.
According to KFC East Malaysia senior general manager Lo Yu Foh, the sponsorship to the homes in Sabah was part of a series of the Add Hope Distribution Programme 2017 initiative to provide monetary assistance to 40 charity homes nationwide.
"KFC Malaysia is happy and proud to be able to give back to the society.
"We would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank our customers for their kind contribution towards the Add Hope fund," he said.
Meanwhile, the Rumah Amal Kasih manager Jamrie Saparih said that they are very happy and thankful to have been chosen as the recipient of the contribution from KFC’s Add Hope Distribution Programme.
"I would like to thank KFC for giving us another opportunity to receive donations, we are expecting these contributions to help in running daily operations", he said.
