Kinder catch-up

1 March 2014

Manila, Philippines --- To ensure that learners—such as those who were displaced due to armed conflict in Mindanao and those affected by disasters particularly by super-typhoon “Yolanda” last year—would be able to complete their kindergarten education, the Department of Education (DepEd) will implement the “Kindergarten Catch-Up Education Program (KCEP).”  Education Secretary Armin Luistro, through DepEd Order No. 11 series of 2014 released the “Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of the Kindergarten Catch-Up Education Program” which aims to provide kindergarten education to learners “who do not have access to schools or those who live under difficult circumstances.”
