Kit Kat’s Birthday Cake Flavor Is Officially in Stores, So Every Day Can Be a Party

Although Kit Kat had confirmed that its limited-edition Birthday Cake flavor would be hitting stores in April, many people are just finding the chocolate bar in stores now. Time to hit the candy aisle!

These crisp wafers are covered in white creme and rainbow sprinkles. They were designed to look like a festive cake with vanilla icing, according to the brand. Now everyone can act like it’s their birthday and dive into a pack (or two) of these.
“Kit Kat Birthday Cake delivers on the universal love of the layers of birthday cake flavor and aroma of frosting perfectly paired with the surprise crunch of sprinkles,” Justin Kukura, senior manager chocolate product development at The Hershey Company, said in a press release.
Remember, the Kit Kat Birthday Cake bars are only available for a limited time. While you can find them at most major retailers, you might want to stock up with this 24-pack box so you’re guaranteed to have them to snack on months after they’re gone.

To be honest, we were a bit worried this day would never come, but it’s officially as official as official can get! Kit Kat Birthday Cake is coming out, so it’s time to celebrate!
The news first leaked back in November that Hershey’s was making a birthday cake flavor. The excitement was automatically real for these wafers covered in vanilla-flavored white creme, complete with rainbow sprinkles. In December, Kit Kat teased Best Products about which new flavors would be coming in 2020, and now we know that April is the magical month for when everyone can get their hands on them.
Don’t think we’ve forgotten about those pie-inspired flavors you’ve brought to our attention, Kit Kat. We expect Chocolate Cream Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, Apple Pie, and Blueberry Pie here by the end of the year (and sooner rather than later, please and thank you).

The new year is already shaping up to be a good one! Kit Kat is reportedly launching a Birthday Cake-flavored bar, and it’s expected to be available in 2020.
Thanks to Instagram account @junkfoodleaks_’s post on Nov. 14, we get to see a picture of what appears to be the unofficial wrapper, as well as the bar itself. The limited-edition flavor has “crisp wafers in birthday cake flavored white creme with sprinkles,” according to the packaging. It basically looks like a confetti cake in chocolate bar form.
“The Kit Kats themselves are a bit harder, as milk chocolate and confection are different, but moving past that, you’re delighted to impeccable crunch, and flashbacks to eating spoonfuls of Funfetti cake frosting right out of the jar,” the caption says. “The Funfetti pearls, the crunch, everything about this is an absolute slam dunk. For some, it might appear to be a bit too sweet — which I get. But if sweet is your thing, these will undoubtedly rise through the ranks on your favorites list as well.”
Kit Kat hasn’t let us down before with its other fun flavors, like Mint and Dark Chocolate Duos, Sweet Cinnamon, and Pumpkin Pie, so we have no doubt that the Birthday Cake variety will have us going back for a second bar.
