ALOR STAR: DAP today said any possible cooperation between Pas and Pakatan Harapan lies solely in the hands of Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
Stopping short of admitting that DAP is reopening the door for talks with its former partner in the now-defunct Pakatan Rakyat, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said the onus is on Abdul Hadi to decide.
"It is up to Abdul Hadi. Let him decide on whether he wants Pas to be part of our coalition or collaborate with Barisan Nasional.
"The ball is in his court," the Gelang Patah member of Parliament told reporters after attending a meet-and-greet session with constituents here today.
Kit Siang said this when asked to respond to PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s statement in Parliament yesterday, in which she was seen as hinting that Pas should reconsider its decision to sever ties with Pakatan Harapan.
Dr Wan Azizah, who is Permatang Pauh Member of Parliament, said it would be in the best interest of both Pas and Pakatan to work together to face the next general election.
