KUALA LUMPUR: DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang has succeeded in fooling the Malay leaders of Pakatan Harapan by insisting that a Malay become the coalition's chairman, Umno Youth deputy chief Khairul Azwan said today.
He said DAP, with 38 Parliamentary seats and 96 state seats, is in fact the one in control.
"This is all in accordance with Lim's strategy of letting the Malays screw the Malays," he said in a statement.
Khairul said that Lim has manipulated Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) president Mohamad Sabu, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and PPBM president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said they are merely Lim's puppets in his strategy of making the Malays fight each other.
Khairul warned that with this divide-and-rule strategy, the Malays will be weakened to allow DAP to hold the reins of power.
He noted that this strategy was previously mentioned by former DAP firebrand, Hew Kuan Yau, during a ceramah.
"This is why, despite being the biggest political party amongst the opposition, Lim still refuses to publicly hold the leadership position in Pakatan Harapan.
"He is using opposition Malay leaders as fronts to achieve his goal of weakening Malay unity", he said.
Khairul urged the Malays not to work with DAP, or they will only end up as traitors to their own race.
