PUTRAJAYA: A four-month-old baby boy was rescued by the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Fire and Rescue Department after he was locked in his mother’s car at Jalan Deluxe, Cyberjaya.

In the 2.45pm incident, the baby was left with another child by the mother in a Perodua Alza. The mother had gone to a shop nearby.

According to the KLIA Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson, the child later left to follow his mother and accidentally locked the car, leaving the baby trapped in the car for about 30 minutes.

“The mother failed to unlock the car and called the emergency line for help,” he said.

The rescue team arrived at the scene at 3.07pm and had to break one of the windows to unlock the car.

The baby was unharmed.
