Klopp dismisses England speculation, leaves return to coaching open
Jürgen Klopp has ruled out a quick return to coaching as he also firmly dismissed any speculation he may be interested in succeeding Gareth Southgate as England manager.
Klopp said at an international coaching congress in the German city of Würzburg that his adviser is passing "absolutely nothing" on to him concerning job offers, "no club, no country."
Asked about potential England interest, he said: "It would be the biggest loss of face in the history of football to say I'm making an exception for you."
Klopp left Liverpool in summer after nine years at Anfield, having previously coached Bunndesliga sides Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.
The German said from the outset that he would take a break, and he left it open in Würzburg whether he would return to coaching at all.
‘I'm going to do some kind of work. I'm too young to just do padel tennis and grandchildren," he said.
"Will I be a coach again? I would actually rule that out at the moment. Let's see what it looks like in a few months' time. Nothing is coming through at the moment."
