Group E looks set to be one of the tightest in this season’s Champions League, with all four teams having drawn 1-1 in the first round of games.

Wednesday sees Krasnodar host Chelsea in the early start, with Frank Lampard’s side looking to stop a recent run of five draws in six games.

The game comes just over a year after the Blues last won an away game in Europe, on that occasion against Ajax last October, and they have only tasted victory once in six fixtures anywhere since then.

Krasnodar have only won two of their last six in all competitions themselves, with one of those being a qualifier to reach this group stage.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of kick-off.

When is the game?

The match is set to kick-off at 5:55pm GMT on Wedneday, 28 October at the Krasnodar Stadium.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be shown live on BT Sport 3. Subscribers can stream the game via the BT Sport app or website.

What is the team news?

Remy Cabella could return for Krasnodar after another Covid-19 test. Ari and Victor Claesson face late fitness tests and Wanderson is a doubt.

Marcos Alonso is suspended for Chelsea, while Kepa and Billy Gilmour are out injured. Thiago Silva is not part of the travelling party.

Predicted line-ups

KRA: Safonov; Petrov, Sorokin, Kaio, Ramirez; Gazinskiy, Olsson; Smolnikov, Utkin, Cabella; Berg.

CHE: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Zouma, Chilwell; Kante, Jorginho; Pulisic, Mount, Ziyech; Werner.

Odds

Krasnodar - 7/1

Draw - 77/19

Chelsea - 10/17

Prediction

A night of perspiration rather than inspiration could lie ahead for Frank Lampard’s team and, while not losing should be priority No. 1, they have the attacking talent to take the points if they can find a clinical edge. Krasnodar 1-1 Chelsea
