Ku Li meets with Agong
Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah was granted an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong today, hours after PKR president Anwar Ibrahim had a similar audience.
An aide to the Umno veteran confirmed this.
"When Tuanku summons you, you go. God willing," he told Malaysiakini.
The Gua Musang MP, who is popularly known as Ku Li, was at the Istana Negara for the meeting before 2pm.
The aide did not reveal why Razaleigh was having an audience with the monarch.
However, a source familiar with the matter did not rule out the possibility of the audience being relatedto the prime minister post.
"Ku Li has been working on this quietly for a long time," he said.
The source also claimed that Tengku Razaleigh had met with former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad regarding this matter.
At around 2.45pm, Tengku Razaleigh left the Istana, without saying anything to the waiting press.
