The carnival-like atmosphere, was jointly organised by the Kelab Anak Muda Kuala Ibai ( KAMI ) and eight village community management councils (MPKK) in the mukim.
Kuala Terengganu PAS’ member of parliament Ahmad Amzad Hashim, who officiated at the event, said it was a great occasion to foster camaraderie and unity among the area’s local folk.
“Besides, it was a great way to celebrate Merdeka with people of all walks of like, young and old.
“We need to organise more of such community events to help keep people active and lead a healthy lifestyle,” he said.
