Lava Streams Down the Slopes of Italy's Mount Etna

Smoke and lava billowed from Italy’s Mount Etna on August 27 and 28 as volcanic activity continued from the previous week. This video recorded by Giuseppe Tonzuso.

The eruption comes from a part of the volcano, the Southeast Crater, that had been dormant since 2015, National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) reported. Credit: Giuseppe Tonzuso via Storyful
