The whole world has turned into super sleuths for a while now as murder-mystery game Among Us continues to be the hottest game of the season.
Riot Games may have opened up the possibility of this picture to officially happen sometime soon. The company has created a series of surveys asking players if they are interested in purchasing a different genre of video games that still use the same League of Legends champions and locations we’ve known and loved.
One of the questions described a multiplayer social deduction game where players solve mysteries and even deceive others, very similar to Among Us or Town of Salem.
- Over 100 million people have downloaded Among Us
- How to watch the League of Legends Worlds 2020 Quarterfinals
The survey above revealed Riot’s plan to expand the League of Legends universe. They are still sticking to the assets of their original MOBA game and have no intentions of building a completely new title, with completely different characters and lores. Even their FPS game Valorant has a lot of LoL-inspired designs.
In addition to the possible League of Legends x Among Us title, Riot is also keen on exploring special game genres like RPG, strategy, and even something similar to Hollow Knight’s Metroidvania style.
Riot has not yet released any detailed information on the above-mentioned games, but the possible project combining League of Legends and Among Us is definitely something that the community would be willing to play in the future.
Riot Games currently has five online titles: MOBA game League of Legends, auto-battler game Teamfight Tactics, card game Legends of Runeterra, the mobile MOBA Wild Rift, and the first-person shooter title Valorant.
