South Korean League of Legends (LoL) juggernaut T1 continue to make history, this time as the team's support player Ryu "Keria" Min-seok claimed the LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Season MVP award.

Keria is the first-ever support player to win the LCK Regular Season MVP award, which has traditionally gone to junglers and mid laners.

The T1 support had the most assists of the regular season, with 441 assists and a 72.3% kill participation rate.

Keria also set his 2,000th assist in his entire career on Week 5 of the season in a match against KT Rolster, and boasts a 47% First Blood percentage, 227 gold differential at 10 minutes, 167 experience differential at 10 minutes, and 195 damage per minute.

Keria has been with T1 for three seasons now, with his MVP finish coming off the heels of the team's perfect 18-0 regular season.

T1 were the first-ever organisation to finish an LCK Split undefeated, and the team have been making and breaking records in the process.

While all members of T1 had stellar moments throughout the season, Keria consistently delivered and assisted his team, even if he rarely took the spotlight, since the support role is arguably the most overlooked when it comes to individual excellence.

T1's AD Carry, Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong, took the most kills of the split, but it was clear that Keria was key in helping him achieve this feat throughout the season while also facilitating the team's overall success.

What’s even more impressive is that Keria managed to achieve all these in a little more than two years. He first debuted in DRX’s starting roster in 2019, having played in Academy and Challenger teams before then.

Keria then moved to T1 at the end of 2020, where his career and skill level flourished.

All members of T1 received honours in the 2022 Spring All-LCK teams, with four out of five members getting inducted into the All-LCK First Team — Lee “Faker” Sang Hyeok, Choi "Zeus" Woo-je, Gumayusi, and Keria.

DAMWON KIA’s jungler, Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu is the only player outside of T1 to be included in the All-LCK First Team, while Moon "Oner" Hyeon-joon makes the All-LCK Second team honours.

DWG KIA’s Canyon was also named Player of the Split.

This season is also the first time that Faker has been included in the All-LCK Team in two years, with his last time being the 2020 Spring Split.

Popular players from other teams were also included in the All-LCK Second and Third teams.

All-LCK Second Team inductees are: Kim "Rascal" Kwang-hee from KT Rolster (top lane), Oner from T1 (jungler), Gen.G’s Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon (mid lane) and Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk (bottom lane), and Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee (support) from DRX.

The All-LCK Third Team included Kim "Kiin" Gi-in from Kwangdong Freecs (top lane), Han "Peanut" Wang-ho from Gen.G (jungler), Heo "ShowMaker" Su from DWG.KIA (mid lane), DRX’s Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu (bottom lane), and Gen.G's Son "Lehends" Si-woo (support).

T1 are already the most decorated team in LoL history, having won three World Championships — two of which were in back-to-back years — owing largely to the greatness of Faker. The team also have two Mid-Season Invitational championships and several LCK titles under their belt.

T1 are currently ranked first among the teams in the LCK this season so far, with the Spring Playoffs beginning on Wednesday (23 March) with a match between DWG KIA and Fredit BRION. T1 will then face the winner of that match in the semifinals.
