At Least 64 Dead in Heavy Flooding in Pakistan

At least 64 people have died in Pakistan amid intense rain and flooding, as residents in several provinces suffered the brunt of the monsoon season, local media reported.

This footage was taken on August 10 in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province and the second most populous city in Pakistan. The scenes are similar to photographs taken during the recent flooding, showing residents of Lahore wading through thigh-high water.

The Pakistani military has been mobilized to assist with relief efforts. Flooding was also reported in Balochistan province, as well as Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi. Credit: Mona Zia via Storyful
