Leslie Jones Beams from Ear to Ear at Finally Meeting Her 'Sexiest Nerd' Crush Steve Kornacki: 'My Love'
The 'SNL' alum overlooked the political analyst's lack of Taylor Swift knowledge and gifted him with a calculator during an appearance on 'The Daily Show'
It's not every day that one gets to meet their celebrity crush — but the dream came true for Leslie Jones this week!
The Saturday Night Live alum welcomed NBC News and MSNBC's national political correspondent Steve Kornacki — on whom she has a massive crush — to The Daily Show while guest-hosting on Tuesday.
Jones, 56, giddily beamed at the chance to meet Kornacki, 44, and told him: "Oh my God, OK, so, hi! Oh, my God, it's so crazy that we've never met before. So, I'm pretty sure you know that I'm totally obsessed with you."
Kornacki smiled as he said, "I've seen some clips!"

From there, a clip of Jones professing her love for Kornacki during an NBC News appearance played, where she called him "the sexiest nerd on TV."
"When he would grab the thing and be like, 'No,' and then mark on the board, I was like, 'Oh God, just keep solving the problems, Mr. Kornacki,'" she said as the next clip showed the journalist marking on a board. "God d--- it, that is just sexy to me. What, is that a seven? Is that a seven, Steve?"
After the montage, which also featured her raving about Kornacki on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jones jokingly noted how "embarrassed" she was — but then admitted, "but not really."
Jones proceeded to ask Kornacki questions about his work and was impressed by his "sophisticated" answers and political acumen. Later, while asking him to explain the electoral college process, Jones said: "I don't want to sound stupid in front of you, my love."
At one point, Jones got Kornacki "a little present" — a small calculator she'd customized with his name on the back. "If you use my calculator, I'm gonna lose it," she admitted.
Before he left, Jones called out his lack of knowledge about Taylor Swift before asking if he was aware of Beyoncé. To that, he answered a strong, "Yes!"
"OK, good. Woo!" she said. "I was going to have to divorce you, Steve. You are awesome!"
Named one of PEOPLE's 2020 Sexiest Men Alive, Kornacki previously came out as gay in a column for Salon.
"This isn't the start of some brand-new life. I actually like a lot about the one I already have," he wrote about his sexuality in 2011. "But now the fear and paranoia are gone. And my life can finally make sense to the people who matter to me."
