Bangalore-headquartered online deals marketplace LetsVenture has announced a strategic partnership with social networking giant Facebook to encourage women-founded startups to increase their odds of success and make their fundraising process efficient and transparent.

As part of this partnership, LetsVenture will run “Startup Funding Made Easy” workshops for the startups chosen from Facebook’s SheLeadsTech programme applications. This will also provide a ‘funding readiness’ feedback and one-on-one feedback for startups that are not yet ready to raise on the platform. LetsVenture will also provide pitch review for the shortlisted startups that are ready to raise funding and work with them during the deal syndication process.

SheLeadsTech is a year-long programme that will provide women founded/co-founded startups access to the tools, mentorship and resources to help them overcome barriers and succeed in building a business in technology.

As part of this tie-up, women entrepreneurs will get access to FBStart tools and resources; mentorship from a pool of mentors, including Shalini Prakash, Durga Raghunath, Naiyya Saggi, Shikha Uberoi, Shradha Sharma, Christine Chia; monthly Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions; quarterly in-person engagement at events; and peer community (Facebook Group).

“Empowering women isn’t just good for them, it’s good for everyone. The internet is the invisible force driving advancement for women around the world and we hope our programme #SheLeadsTech will inspire more women across the country to take the leap. We are really pleased to partner with LetsVenture and provide women access to new opportunities, new markets and new ideas,” said Satyajeet Singh, Head Strategic Product Partnerships at Facebook India.

Shanti Mohan, Co-founder & CEO of LetsVenture, will also be a mentor on the SheLeadsTech programme to work closely with the chosen founders. “At LetsVenture, our vision has been to make the fundraising process democratic, transparent and efficient. We believe that enabling women entrepreneurs to complete their funding seamlessly will enable them to focus on building their business with fewer distractions. From that perspective, Facebook’s SheLeadsTech program is in perfect alignment, as jointly we will be able to have a much larger impact.”

Recently, LetsVenture announced a partnership with The Hive to set up incubator space for Indian startups.

Earlier, Times Internet’s TLabs accelerator partnered with Facebook to strengthen the mobile startup ecosystem in India.
