Lindsay Lohan 'back to her best'

Lindsay Lohan is "finally turning her life around", according to reports.

The 28-year-old has become better known for being a party animal than an actress in recent years. But after it was announced that she will be making her debut in London's West End in Speed-the-Plough, Lindsay is reportedly keen to show that she is committed to her career.

"She's finally turning her life around," an insider told British magazine Heat. "Linds says she's going to prove herself as the star of this play. It's a way to show everyone that she's ready to work again - and actually be good."

The stars most recent forays into acting, including The Canyons and Elizabeth Taylor biopic Liz & Dick, were panned by critics. But Lindsay is keen to impress and live up to the potential she showed in her earlier career in films like Mean Girls.

"I want to be known for my talents and my work that I create, rather than a tabloid sensation," she recently told the BBC.

Rumours are still around that she has fallen off the wagon after previously struggling with addiction issues. But a source says she has switched her previous vices for others, a diet of "cigarettes and junk food".

"She's gained 15lbs in the last two months eating non-stop pizza and pasta," a friend told Heat. "It's not very healthy, but it's better than her previous diet of booze!"

There will be nowhere to hide in Speed-the-Plough, which only has three parts. Lindsay will make her debut in September and will be performing on stage for ten weeks.
