Sendhelper secures US$444k seed funding led by Captii Ventures

The funding will further improve the labor matching process the company is currently having

Singapore-based blue-collared labor market platform Sendhelper announced today that it has raised a total of S$610,000 (US$444,000) seed funding from Captii Ventures.

Besides planning on launching what the company said to be the tech-powered jobs matching service called Sendjobs, the company also plans to grow its service.

As for Sendjobs, it would take the form of a B2B platform that will match employers with jobseekers of non-executive positions in industries such as F&B, retail, hospitality, events, logistics, and security.

As a mobile-based e-commerce platform, Sendhelper facilitates service providers and households to connect, book, and pay for home services. Sendhelper claimed that it seeks to help people seek employment and ensure employers to have access to a verified pool of job seekers.

“Our experience in the B2C services segment led us to discover that there was also a constant challenge for Singapore’s employers to fulfill the demand for manpower for non-executive positions. Thus, we are taking advantage of this large opportunity to introduce Sendjobs and address the pain points of employers out there,” said Rupam Biswas, Founder and CEO of Sendhelper.

Sendjobs will use artificial intelligence (AI) that allows employers to identify the right candidates to chat with, and eventually, hire. Sendjobs will let employers post jobs and hire employees for free, in line with its approach of reducing hiring costs by up to 90 per cent.

Positioning itself as a LinkedIn for blue-collared workers, the post-data company plans to capitalize on the insights it has on consumer behaviour, and workers’ and employers’ preferences and focus on gamification and AI technologies.

Biswas added that over the last five months in Singapore, the company has on-boarded 500 employers on Sendjobs and now is in preparation to develop and launch Sendjobs globally as a professional networking platform.

Sendhelper is currently headquartered in Singapore and has presences in four countries across Asia. Sendhelper has plans to expand to countries the company has identified as having a large potential such as the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and South America in the future.
