Matt Lucas has delivered a promising update on the reboot of Little Britain.

The actor portrayed many of the sketch show's greatest characters – Sir Bernard Chumley, Marjorie Dawes, Vicky Pollard and Bubbles DeVere to name a few – and during a recent chat with BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball, Lucas revealed that Little Britain "will come back in some form".

Discussing reports of Netflix inviting him and comedy partner David Walliams to bring the show back, Lucas explained: "We had a conversation with them a while ago, so the seed was planted in our heads. We'd love to bring it back in some way at some point.

"We're both quite busy boys but we're speaking often and one idea was to maybe do a stage show of it again."

"We don't know. It may come back," he added. "I think it will come back in some form. We're just still figuring out what that will be."

Back in December, Walliams appeared on This Morning and also discussed the possibility of more Little Britain.

He told presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "We're just talking about it at the moment. Matt has his last night in Les Misérables – the stage show – tonight, so we're meeting up very soon and talking about our future plans.

"We did a special episode called Little Brexit, because the show started on Radio 4, so we'd love to do more and maybe do something new."
