Lebanese PM ‘cautiously optimistic’ on a ceasefire with Israel

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said in a televised interview on Wednesday that he was “hopeful” about the possibility of a ceasefire in the Israel-Hezbollah war before November 5 after having spoken with US envoy Amos Hochstein. Earlier Hezbollah's new leader, Naim Qassem, said he would stick to the war strategy laid out by his predecessor, Hassan Nasrallah, killed by Israel last month.
