Many fans pointed out that the moment was particularly poignant as it happened during Black History Month.
“So refreshing to turn my telly on and see four beautiful black women running the show,” one viewer tweeted. “Things have a long way to go but this is a great start, never in my life have I seen this happen on a major network.”
“For anyone moaning, would you also be asking why if they had an all white panel?” another fan responded. “Good to hear perspectives on telly that have been regularly excluded for years.”
“I don’t believe people understand how much seeing four black women enjoy themselves on this platform means to young black women like me,” another viewer commented, thanking ITV and the panel for allowing them to feel represented.
