Lopes starts for Lyon after firecracker attack

Lyon's defender Anthony Lopes takes part in a training session at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Décines-Charpieu near Lyon, southeastern France on December 6, 2016

Goalkeeper Anthony Lopes was included in Lyon's starting line-up for Wednesday's crucial Champions League clash with Sevilla after recovering from being struck by a firecracker at the weekend. The Portugal international, 26, suffered "traumatic hearing loss" after Metz fans threw firecrackers onto the pitch during Saturday's French Ligue 1 fixture, which was subsequently abandoned with just 31 minutes played. Lyon are third in Group H ahead of the final round of matches and must beat Sevilla by at least two goals at Parc OL to qualify for the last 16, otherwise they will drop into the Europa League.
