Lori Harvey Gets Romantic in Satin Ribbon Ferragamo Heels at the 2025 Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala

Model and swimwear YEVRAH designer Lori Harvey exuded glamour in an all-red spring 2025 Ferragamo look accented by heeled thong wrap sandals at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. The gala was attended by Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Issa Rae, Keke Palmer and more stars.

Her footwear was straight off the spring 2025 Ferragamo runway (and has yet to be released to the public), starring a thick red satin ribbon that wraps around the ankle. The deep red leather sandals boasted an approximately three-inch stiletto heel and a wide thong strap that meets at the back of the heel. These shoes featured prominently on the Ferragamo runway—in white, baby pink and deep olive—paired with ballet-inspired wrap tops and flowy trench coats colorways.

Harvey’s heels perfectly coordinated with her dress, also from the spring 2025 collection. The romantic terracotta-colored silk and cotton blend dress offered a very flattering asymmetrical and rather sculptural shape with tie detailing on the left sleeveless shoulder and right hip.

Harvey does not shy away from embracing new shoe trends, often opting for designer pairs from Chanel, Ferragamo, Saint Laurent and Amina Muaddi that coordinate with her bold, stylish fashion. She embraced the thong sandal trend back in May 2023, walking around Los Angeles in a pair of puffy Chanel leather thong slippers.

Stiletto sandals are a red carpet mainstay, and the controversial thong sandal, particularly lifted with a stiletto, kitten heel or wedge ala ’90s fashion, have been making a comeback since fall 2023, when Normani, Gabrielle Union, Jenna Lyons, Maren Morris and Addison Rae were all spotted in the trend. The reembrace of the beach-adjacent footwear comes with the wider “ugly shoe” trend, which celebrates Birkenstocks, Crocs, New Balance “dad sneakers” and the comfortable shapes these shoes boast (while thong sandals are perhaps the least comfortable of the bunch). Stiletto thonged feet ran wild in the ’90s, from Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw to a teenage Natalie Portman at the MTV VMAs.

The very brat-coded trend has not slowed down, making the rounds in designer collections since then, including Phoebe Philo, Burberry and Reformation. Celebrities have continued to rock them on red carpets; Bianca Censori wore a pair of clear thong sandals with an illusion wedge heel to coordinate with her actually nude mini dress on the 2025 GRAMMY Awards on Sunday.

The star-studded 15 Percent Gala was a verified fashion show of Black talent, with Kelly Roland, Tina Knowles, Law Roach, Keke Palmer, Teyana Taylor also in attendance. The glitzy fundraiser hosted by Yvonne Oriji took place at Paramount Pictures Studios to raise money and awareness for the 15 Percent Pledge, a nonprofit founded by Aurora James to get businesses to dedicate 15 percent of their shelf space to Black-owned brands.
