Louis Cheung says TVB ban is a blessing

1 Nov – Although he was one of the victims of the conflict between TVB and HMV Digital China, Louis Cheung stated that he now realised that being banned by TVB was a blessing in disguise.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who sat down for an interview to promote new movie, "Lucid Dreams" recently, shared that he has always been grateful to TVB for giving him the opportunity to become an actor, and that he could now enter a different stage in his career.

"People do different things in different stages of life. Although my television career might be over, it's just a new beginning for my movie career," he said.

Louis added that he has been lucky enough to be given the chance to work with so many talented actors since he began filming movies.

"I could never imagine myself working with all these great stars like Tony Leung [Chiu Wai], Aaron Kwok, Nick Cheung, Athena Chu, Louis Koo, and to now be working with people like [director] Teddy Robin Kwan, Chrissie Chau, and Dada Chan. It really is a wonderful feeling," he said.

It is noted that Louis has been doing a lot of films this year, from the comedy "Agent Mr. Chan", the horror movie, "The Lingering", to thrillers like "L Storm" and "Theory of Ambition".
