Love Island star Camilla Thurlow has shared a snapshot of herself breastfeeding her baby on her wedding day, and opened up about the realities of juggling her daughter while celebrating her big day.

The reality TV contestant tied the knot over the weekend with fellow Islander Jamie Jewitt, and the couple's baby, Nell, 10 months was there to enjoy the nuptials.

Sharing some of the pictures of the special day to Instagram, she included a touching picture of herself breastfeeding her daughter with her new husband by her side as the family share a quiet moment during the celebration.

In the accompanying caption, the newlywed got candid with her followers about having her baby daughter with her on her wedding day as she grappled with ‘separation anxiety’.

"I have had a lot of messages asking what it was like having a 10 month baby and organising a wedding," she wrote.

"The first thing I will say is having Nell at our wedding, surrounded by our family and friends was heavenly and I wouldn't change a thing.

"But I should also be honest, that it did end up being trickier than I had anticipated a few months ago partly because just before the wedding we hit a pretty difficult teething and separation anxiety period."

While Nell managed to stay on schedule with her meals, she needed a lot of feeds from her mother throughout the day and in the evening she needed settling and spent a lot of the time awake.

The reality TV star, who met her now-husband on the dating show, said it "a bit of a struggle" as she also had to deal with other wedding-related issues such as having to organise a wedding dress "last minute".

Many new parents will no doubt relate to Thurlow's confession that "every problem seems so much worse when you haven’t had much sleep" but she also thanked her 'support system’ for being there.

"I had also made a lot of decisions to try and make life easier for us, like choosing a nearby location and lovely, reliable suppliers who took so much of the weight off my shoulders," she added.

"MOST importantly, it kept the important aspects of the day in sharp focus for me. As someone who can really sweat the small stuff, not having time to do that actually kept my eyes away from the details and instead on the bigger picture of the whole day and celebrating love, joy and happiness with our family and friends and it really did end up being the absolutely perfect day for us."

After she had shared her honest post, fans were full of praise for the new mum, thanking her for opening up about the realities and praising the star for helping to normalise breastfeeding in public.

"Love the honesty. Looks like you did amazingly and she’ll be in your wedding pics forever," one wrote.

"That second photo of you feeding Nell is just stunning!" another agreed. "I love that women refuse to be bullied out of feeding in public by small minded, over-opinionated individuals, you looked completely stunning!"

"I am living for those breastfeeding photos!!! So beautiful!" another fan commented. "Thank you for sharing them and helping normalise breastfeeding."

Thurlow and Jewitt originally got together in 2017 on the ITV2 dating show, and came runners up in the series.

The couple announced their engagement in February this year, with Jewitt popping the question with a little help from their baby daughter Nell, who wore a baby-gro saying, "Mummy will you marry my daddy?"

Thurlow isn't the only celebrity highlighting her breastfeeding journey. Last week Alex Jones revealed her daughter's baby name while nursing her newborn live on TV.

The presenter, 44, told viewers of The One Show on Wednesday night that she and her husband, Charlie Thomson, had decided to name their new baby Annie.

"It's feeding time at the zoo here!" Jones revealed while breastfeeding the infant.
