Love Island and Drag Race stars confirmed for ITV2's Celebrity Karaoke Club line-up

From Digital Spy

Love Island, RuPaul's Drag Race and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! stars have all been confirmed on the line-up for brand new ITV2 entertainment show Celebrity Karaoke Club.

The new six-part series will see seven famous faces hit the karaoke bar and give the performances of their lives in order to stay in the competition – but there's a twist, as each contestant is also a judge, so the only people they have to impress is each other.

In between rounds the stars can sip a cocktail at the bar or have a gossip in the toilets, giving them a chance to form alliances and boost their popularity away from the karaoke stage.

At the end of each episode, the group will vote to send one person home, with new celebrities then arriving at the bar and joining the competition in the hopes of being crowned the karaoke king or queen.

"Whether their voice is like Mariah Carey or Mariah Scarey, in this competition it's all about the love of karaoke and commanding a stage – in everything from epic solo performances to group battles," ITV said of the show.

Joining the Karaoke Club for the competition are Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Courtney Act and Baga Chipz, Love Island 2018's Samira Mighty and radio presenter and I'm A Celebrity 2019 star Roman Kemp.

Also taking part will be The Masked Singer host and comedian Joel Dommett, TV and radio presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Melvin Odoom, former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers and ex-The Only Way Is Essex cast member Jessica Wright.

Rounding out the cast are Loose Women favourite Judi Love, Ibiza Weekender's David Potts, comedian and impressionist Luke Kempner and singer-songwriter and former Celebs Go Dating star Tallia Storm.

ITV's Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions Paul Mortimer said that he is "thrilled" about the show, saying, "The cast of celebs will be well-known to ITV2's audience, though not necessarily for their singing!

"However, they are sure to entertain viewers with some impressive and hilarious performances this autumn, as they battle it out to be crowned the ultimate karaoke champion."

The series is being made by BAFTA-winning producers Monkey, who are also behind Made In Chelsea, with the company's creative director and executive producer Will Macdonald saying: "Ludicrous times demand ludicrous entertainment, and that's what this show delivers thanks to a righteous collective of celebrities, a free bar and the world's best karaoke machine.

"What could possibly go wrong? As Starship nearly said: Nothing's Gonna Stop Them Now."
