Love Island's final paid tribute to the late Caroline Flack tonight (February 23).

Caroline, who hosted the reality dating show from 2015, was tragically found dead in her apartment earlier this month, leading to an outpouring of tributes for the presenter.

ITV previously confirmed that the cast of the current series had been told of Caroline's passing ahead of tonight's show.

Visibly holding back the tears, Caroline's friend and Love Island 2019 presenter Laura Whitmore said to fans: "Caroline loved Love Island, she loved love and that's why tonight's final is dedicated to her...".

A montage immediately followed Whitmore's brief tribute, which featured footage from across Caroline's time working on the dating reality show.

This came after an emotional tribute to the host on Monday's instalment of the show (February 17), which saw narrator Iain Stirling sharing some words instead of the show's usual title sequence.

"We are all absolutely devastated by the tragic news that Caroline, a much-loved member of our Love Island family, has passed away. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this dreadful time.

"Caroline and me were together from the very start of Love Island. Her passion, warmth and infectious enthusiasm are a crucial part of what made the show connect with millions of viewers," he added.

"Like many of you, we're still trying to come to terms with what's happened. My only hope is that we can try and be kinder, always show love and listen to one another.

"Caroline, I want to thank you for all the fun times making our favourite show. You were a true friend to me. I'm gonna miss you Caz."

Love Island airs its final at 9pm on ITV2 tonight, and you can catch up on the show via ITV Hub.
