Love Island opens applications for 2020 summer series
Love Island's latest series may have only just finished airing, but ITV2 has already confirmed that a summer series is on the way too.
On Sunday (February 24), presenter Laura Whitmore and a live studio audience descended on the Love Island villa in South Africa villa to crown Paige Turley and Finley Tapp the winners of series 6 – but they won't be the only ones walking away with the top prize this year.
During last night's finale, Laura revealed that applications for the next series are now open, and singletons who are up for finding their perfect other half on the sun-soaked show can apply for the 2020 summer series now.

If you're interested in taking part on the hit ITV2 show, all you have to do is register and fill in an application form – as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
At this early stage, that means you should be over 18 and not work for ITV, nor have a live-in partner or immediate relative who works for the broadcaster either. You'll also need a valid passport, be eligible to travel to the specified destinations and be exclusively available to participate in the programme for a minimum of eight consecutive weeks.

Earlier today, Laura Whitmore thanked the finalists of the winter 2020 series of Love Island for being a huge help to her in the wake of the tragic death of Caroline Flack.
"Your Love Island Winners and finalists!!" she posted on Instagram, alongside a picture of herself and the final couples. "Their warmth, kindness and smiley faces helped me more than they'll ever know."

It came after Laura dedicated last night's final to Caroline too, saying during the episode: "Caroline loved Love Island, she loved love, and that's why tonight's final is dedicated to her."
