It was a drama-filled night on Love Island, with a very relieved Nas winning out over Connagh as Siânasse cast the final vote. Siânesse originally wanted to choose newbie Luke T, but Rebecca struck again and nabbed him early, with the move being labelled 'a kick in the teeth'.

While we were nearly 100% sure that Nas would be packing his case tonight, a last-minute power play meant Rebecca chose to start anew with newcomer Luke T, which was ever so slightly contentious because this was the same guy who had just been on a very successful date with Siânasse. And she was not, um, exactly happy about it. Alexa, can you play 'I Hate You So Much Right Now' by Kelis?

Both of the newbies have cemented their place after making a splash after going on dates with their chosen ladies simultaneously. But I guess you could say they had very different things in common. For instance, while Siânasse and Luke T discussed families, marriage and children, Jess and Luke M talked future dog names, with suggestions ranging from ‘Ocean’ to 'Mayonnaise’ (but Mayo for short! Um, okay!).

After it was revealed that a recoupling would take place and the girls would be choosing, there was the usual anxious countdown from both sides. Fans got to see the various couples, singles and in-betweens having heart to hearts, before they faced their big decisions while gathered around the firepit.

Leanne and Mike stayed together, along with Shaughna and Cal (with a shady cutaway to Rebecca!). Sophie and Connor patched things up (again) and coupled up, which rounded out the group of reliable couples.

Rebecca chose newcomer Luke T, and Paige chose Finley, and cutely asked him: "Did you s**t it?" Meanwhile, Jess chose Luke M and Siânasse decided to chose Nas, meaning Connagh was dumped from the villa.

It looks like the games have really begun – and we are here for it!
