Love Island's Dr Alex George asks followers if they know somewhere he can live

From Cosmopolitan

Love Island's Dr Alex George took to Instagram Stories to ask fans if they knew of somewhere he could rent short term, as the lease on his current flat is coming up.

The doctor, who has been working for the NHS amid the coronavirus pandemic, explained his tenancy period has expired and he now needs a new place to stay near his hospital in Lewisham, south London.

"I need to move out of where I am staying due to the tenancy period expiring," he wrote on Instagram Stories. "Does anyone have a place I could rent short term for the next month or so. Need to be in central/south/southwest London to be close to A&E. Thank you."

Alex explained in an earlier post that he had moved out of his recently renovated flat in south west London and has been staying at girlfriend Amelia Bath's flat alone, in order to limit the amount of people he's exposed to.

"I've been staying on my own so I don't risk infecting friends and family," he explained.

The NHS doctor has been sharing an insight into how he's getting on during the Covid-19 pandemic, posting photos in his protective gear on Instagram.

"No matter how many times this virus beats us down, we will stand up and we will fight back 💪🏽," Alex wrote, later adding, "From my family to yours, stay home and stay safe 💙 We are on shift and so won’t be able to hear your clap tonight, but know that the message is received loud and clear."

Shout out to Alex and all the key workers still doing their bit every day, and let's hope he finds somewhere to live soon.
