With all that's going on in the world right now, Winter Love Island feels like a whole world away. But earlier this year, Paige Turley and Finn Tapley were named winners of the first winter series, while Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge came second, and Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott came third.

And while the first two couples are quarantining together (Finn drove six hours to isolate with Paige!), Luke M and Demi have decided to social distance separately. But what does this mean for the Love Islanders relationship, and are they still together?

During an interview with The Sun, Luke revealed the pair were still talking every day, and although they're not officially a couple yet, he said things are still going well and that as things stand, they're still a thing.

"Me and Demi are good, obviously this lockdown is really hard for us," he commented. "Obviously, we do see each other quite a bit, before that we were staying in hotels and working together and she’s spending lockdown with her family and I’m spending it with mine.

"We do Facetime, Snapchat and talk so we are going good. We are just seeing each other at the minute, we are just seeing how things are going.”

He added: "We haven’t had the full test on the outside world yet because of this lockdown, so we are just going to see how things go."

This comes as the UK government offered specific advice to couples during self isolation due to coronavirus, asking them not to see each other if they don't live in the same house.

England’s deputy chief medical officer Dr Jenny Harries explained:

"What we do not want is people switching in and out of households. It defeats the purpose of the reduction in social interactions and will allow transmission of disease. So perhaps test really carefully your strength of feeling [for each other]. Stay with the household either together or apart but keep it that way while we go forward.”

Here's to hoping Demi and Luke come out the other side of quarantine still a happy couple.
