Loved ‘Great British Bake Off’? You Need to Watch Netflix’s New Show ‘School of Chocolate’

Thanks to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we’ve long fantasized about becoming a world-renowned chocolatier (though probably not in an Oompa Loompa-filled factory). However, we never thought it was a realistic career path…until now.

Netflix just dropped a delicious new trailer for School of Chocolate, which is set to premiere on November 26 (the day after Thanksgiving). The competition series is exactly what it sounds like: an academy for up-and-coming dessert connoisseurs.

In the trailer, we’re introduced to School of Chocolate, which follows eight talented chocolatiers as they take on a variety of challenges in the kitchen. The series is led by Amaury Guichon, who serves as a mentor to the hopeful cooks.

“Every time that he posts a video, they go viral,” one contestant says. Another adds, “It was just like seeing an idol.”

Guichon’s goal is to push the bakers outside of their comfort zone. “I will be teaching you, testing you and challenging you on your pastry and chocolate knowledge,” he says in the clip. “Are you feeling up to the challenge? You should run.”

Despite the steep competition, the contestants are determined to step up to the plate (get it?), no matter the risk. “What he’s asking us to do is to stop thinking the way that we have been and try something new,” one contestant explains.

School of Chocolate, here we come.
