A lesser-known short-form video sharing platform, Chingari, founded by Bengaluru-based programmers Biswatma Nayak and Siddharth Gautam, has been trending on Google’s Android Play Store and Apple’s iOS app store today (June 30) after the Indian government banned TikTok. Chingari is a top trending app on iOS and Android. Chingari is getting 100,000 downloads each hour after the Indian government’s decision to ban 59 Chinese apps, including its rival TikTok, yesterday (June 19).
