KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 — The Malaysian Bar today introduced its line-up of four office-bearers including a new president for the term starting this year.
George Varughese, who was the vice-president for the previous term that ended today, took over as president from the outgoing Steven Thiru.
George told reporters that the four office-bearers of the Malaysian Bar including himself were elected at the first meeting today of the Bar Council for the 2017/2018 term.
Outgoing treasurer Abdul Fareed Abdul Gafoor was elected as vice-president, while Ravi Nekoo and Roger Chan Weng Keng were respectively elected as the new treasurer and honorary secretary, he said.
