Male seahorse gives birth at U.S. zoo
A video shared on social media showed the dwarf seahorse giving birth to seahorse fry as filmed by an animal care specialist.
According to the zoo there has been a baby boom of dwarf seahorses, one of the smallest seahorse species, since mid-September, with nearly 30 seahorse fry being born at the zoo.
The seahorse along with their close relative, the sea dragon, are the only animals having a true reversed pregnancy where the male gives birth to the fry, the zoo said.
