Man arrested for armed robbery at Upper Bukit Timah Road petrol station: report

A 48-year-old man was arrested for a case of armed robbery at a Shell petrol station in Upper Bukit Timah Road on Monday (31 July), according to a media report.

The man was armed with a knife and took off with $1,000 from the petrol station, said the report by Channel NewsAsia.

A police statement released Monday (31 July) said, “On 31 July 2017 at 12.48pm, the Police were alerted to a case of armed robbery at 219 Upper Bukit Timah Road. A 48-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case at about 4.50pm.”
