Man arrested for attempted murder of woman at Bedok North house
SINGAPORE — A 59-year-old man will be charged on Thursday (31 December) for his suspected involvement in the attempted murder of a 48-year-old woman at a residential unit at Bedok North.
On Wednesday morning, the police received a call for help at the unit along Pari Dedap Walk.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the woman wounded on the floor outside the unit. The woman was conveyed conscious to hospital and is in a stable condition. Preliminary investigations reveal that they are known to each other.
The man was subsequently arrested inside the unit.
If convicted for the offence of attempted murder when hurt is caused to any person by such act, he faces life imprisonment or jail of up to 20 years and a fine.
