Man, 35, to face murder charge for stabbing woman, 34, in Jurong

SINGAPORE — A 35-year-old man will be charged on Thursday (18 February) with the murder of a 34-year-old woman at Jurong East Street 32.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a press release on Wednesday that it was alerted to the incident at about 11.55pm on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, officers found the woman lying motionless with multiple stab wounds at the void deck of Block 308 Jurong East Street 32. The man and woman are believed to be known to each other, said SPF.

The woman was conveyed unconscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital where she was pronounced dead at about 1.30am on Wednesday.

If convicted of murder, the man faces the death penalty.
