GUA MUSANG: A timber mill worker died after the car he drove collided with a four-wheel-drive at Kilometre 21 on Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai here yesterday.
Mohd Salimi Mohd Razali, 34, from Felda Chiku 1, died on the spot.
In the 4.30pm incident, the driver of the four-wheel-drive, Muhamad Aifa Abdul Halim, 35, and his passenger, Mohd Zamri Mat Ghani, 36, escaped with light injuries.
District police chief Superintendent Mohd Taufik Maidin the incident occurred when the victim was travelling from Gua Musang to Kuala Krai.
Taufik said the victim failed to overtake another vehicle and collided with the four-wheel-drive approaching from the opposite lane.
He said the victim’s vehicle, which was travelling at high speeds, spun out of control before hitting an electric pole. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
