Man found dead after fight in Geylang; murder suspect arrested, to be charged

Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for alleged murder after a man was found dead after a fight in Geylang.

The Singapore Police Force said in a statement that it was alerted to a fight on 218 Geylang Road at about 7.50am on Friday morning (15 June). A 29-year-old man was found lying motionless on the scene when police arrived and paramedics pronounced him dead.

Police have classified the case as murder and will charge the suspect in court on Saturday (16 June).

Police investigations are ongoing.
