[FILE] Man in Handcuffs Led Away by Police at Site of El Paso Shooting

At least 20 people were killed and 26 wounded when a gunman opened fire at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday, August 3, El Paso police chief Greg Allen told a press conference.

A 21-year-old white male suspect was in police custody, officials said. The suspect was not officially named by police, though a name was cited in several media reports.

The FBI, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and Border Patrol were assisting with a murder investigation, Allen said.
