A 60-year-old man is under investigation for his suspected involvement in committing mischief on a public bus, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a press release on Tuesday (8 August).

SPF received a report from a bus company last Friday (4 August), stating that a passenger seat on one of its buses was perforated with toothpicks.

Yahoo News Singapore understands that the case is related to a Facebook post from user Shervella Wong, who shared about how she was on a bus where she almost sat down on a seat with toothpicks perforated on it.

Investigation against the suspect are ongoing. Any person who is convicted of mischief faces a jail term of up to two years or a fine, or both.
