A man was nabbed by Land Transport Authority (LTA) officers and traffic police for riding an e-scooter along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on Sunday morning (26 November).

The man was caught along the PIE, before the exit to Eng Neo Avenue, said the LTA in a post on Sunday evening. The rider’s Personal Mobility Device was also impounded, and the rider is assisting in investigations.

Footage of the man riding the e-scooter on the second lane of the PIE was caught on video and widely circulated online, with many on Facebook slamming the rider for his risky behaviour.

“It is illegal to ride PMDs on the road and doing so endangers both the rider and other road users,” said the LTA.
