A Manifest star has teased a "jaw-dropping" season two finale and revealed what fans can expect from season three.

Josh Dallas, who plays maths professor Ben Stone on the NBC drama, recently revealed a number of titbits about the forthcoming finale, which will air on April 6 in the US.

With just two episodes to go, Josh confirmed the Major (Elizabeth Marvel) will "turn up" in the finale after a lengthy on-screen absence, while Ben and Michaela's (Melissa Roxburgh) relationship is "tested in a huge way", as the 828 passengers receive some "significant" callings.

Fans should also get some answers about *those* three meth dealers, who were confirmed to be the shadowy characters Cal (Jack Messina) had callings about.

"The end of the finale is just going to be, 'Holy shit. Where is it going now?'," Josh told TV Line.

"[The finale is] going to point to where we're going to go in season three. It's going to tie up a certain idea about these callings and how we use them; and I think it's also going to ask more questions.

"Which is what we want! If we had all the answers and they had happy days every day, why would we watch?

"But yeah, the end of the season is jaw-dropping."

Manifest continues tonight (March 30) on NBC in the US. The show airs on Sky One and NOW TV in the UK.
