BRISBANE, Australia — Manny Pacquiao and Jeff Horn are both present in their first press conference on Wednesday and the official launch of the Battle of Brisbane, happening in July 2 at Suncorp Stadium.
The face-off is in cooperation with Tourism and Events Queensland, Brisbane Marketing, Duco Events, Top Rank and Manny Pacquiao Promotions.
WBO Welterweight World Champion Manny Pacquiao and World number 2 Jeff Horn were joined in by the legendary boxing promoter, Top Rank founder and CEO Bob Arum.
Special guests during the presscon were Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
The Battle of Brisbane is the biggest boxing event ever staged in Australia.
Manny Pacquiao is making sure he has a quick chance at getting back at Jeff Horn, but Horn promises not to show Pacquiao any consideration on July 2.
“He’s gonna be coming forward and throwing…. but I’ll be throwing … back at him. I don’t plan on getting hit by his flurries, but you’ll never know. We both would probably get hit,”Jeff Horn said.
Horn added, “He seems like a nice guy. It’s not trash talk. We both got interesting backgrounds. We’re just very interested in the fight.” — Kate Alba | UNTV News & Rescue
